Poor Mclaren

It was a sad ending at Europe grand prix with Mclaren tyres going busted just when he wss 3 miles frm the chequered flag. :-(

The race with 5 laps remaining ws worth catching upp with time between Raikkenun and Alonso.
had it not been the tyre problem ...Mclaren wud zoomed away with victiry with bigger time gap..

feeling bad abt it.

Time for Talk Shows

Talk show r In thing ... Star to zoom all of them hostng them

Koffee with Karan is 1 gud show and i liked the way of presenting it.
Though film gossip is 1 thng i stay away but i like this show. Recently, it was showing the best of shots and i liked the show hosting shahrukh and kajol..

Other side,Manish Malhotra show runs on same pattern but his presentation is not catchy....

Just Pooja .. is also 1 gud show.. I like the topics which pooja bedi picks up for discussion.
She even has gud style of presenting and i was not aware of this talent of her.I use to think of her as a glamour actress in industry with her Jo jeeta wohi sikander image...

Hope it is able to show poeple other side of celebrities..

Catching the Mindshare..

I am not a movie freak but last Sunday ,my cousins wanted me to come along,so we decided to watch KAAL!!

The movie turned up to 3 hour of Ad show...this is how!!

The very theme and shoot of the movie reminded me as if I am watching National Geography channel in a multiplex. And very soon I cud actually see a CD case handed over to the hero with National Geography written on it..
The scene started with focus (with zoom) at SONY logo on the lapi..
The hero ,apna John A.. talked to Esha with his Timex watch facing the audience...

Then came the sound of engine throttle ...no it was not John on his Dhoom bike...but Vivek driving rather speeding new Endeavour SUV... With all its features shot for next 15 min showing throttle...accerelation and style ... three ad were easily covered,...
As the movie progress u can notice different brands if not Tigers(anyways...there are hardly 15 tigers left in tht sanctuary... Save Tiger..k here goes the campiagn of WWF )..
I cud not follow the movie but was able to map fundas I came across in Advertisement, sales and promotion lectures.....most of them were correctly mapped..

This is not new trend which 1 can see...i rem Taal( wat a coincidence..) where Coke helped 2 hearts to romance and make Akshay heart Thanda...!!

With competition heating up, getting the mindshare is getting so tough that advertisers have started looking for eevery possible means now...including films..
The day is not far, when u can even see actors actually doing the ad as dialogues in the movie..
and tht will defn make viewers keep their mind back home...

Did I said something like getting the Mind share in the starting.!!

Monaco: McLaren Wins

Sunday May 22nd was the day for Mclaren ..

The strret circuit known to be the real challenging was easy run for Raikonnen!!

Lap 24 and Mclaren had easily taken an amzing lead of 35secs... The pit stop in this race was perfectly timed and that 2 only once..

The fight for later slots was a rat race with Trulli mising the cut and getting the tail end.
Alonso also missed the second lap to loose its position from 2nd to 4th.

In all McLaren once again showd its surely the BEST!!!

next watch on May 29th...

The road not taken : A lovely poem

This one is a lovely poem!!

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both,
And be one traveler, long I stood,
And looked down one as far as I could,
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there,
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay,
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood,and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Is WiMax a threat to 3G...!!

WiMax or Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access seems to be catching up fast. Named as cousin of Wi-fi, this technology is promising and will give complete mobility for broadband user on move.
With subscribers in Indian crossing 100m mark and teledensity of 9.26%(as on April 05) ,its time India should look forward to 3G.
But the question remains....can they emerge parallel in India??

Well, 3G will still have the edge because of the great advantage it has in terms of providing mobility within a wide area of coverage. WiMAX will give a real opportunity to new and incumbent telecom operators, who do not have a mobility network in place, to start one at comparatively low cost and ensure that they do not lose out too much in the ongoing fixed to mobile substitution in telecoms traffic.
At the end of the day, people have “needs” (make calls, check emails, watch movies, play games). Increasingly the restrictions on “where” and “how” you can fulfil those needs will disappear.

I still feel Indian market is little immature for data and with ARPU going down evry quarter, we need to look in for alternative way of increasing it.
One way could be the path of MVNOs...
wats MVNO??
watch out this space for more.............

Monaco: Monte Carlo

This Sunday, I am looking forward fr yet another race...
time to see that McLaren.. defeat Ferrari again..

Schumi watch out again this time..with a new strategy ofcourse.
I think he was catching up fast but then luck was not in his favour..
after all u shld appreciate ur competitors also ;-)

this sunday....GoGo gogogogogo!!!!

BAck to Deadlock: Spectrum Jam!!

Friday, the 13th came out to be jinx in telecomworld with the spectrum allocation still in confusion state.
Trai has said that CDMA players be allocated additional carriers in the 800 MHz band. Reliance is the biggest CDMA player in the country today and it would be made availalable to it..This move by Trai has come in for sharp criticism by GSM companies, which allege a backdoor entry to CDMA players into 3G services by allowing them more spectrum despite they already possessing sufficient spectrum.
The CDMA lobby, however, contends that the GSM companies like Hutch are already offering 3G services in the form of Edge in the 1,800 MHz and 900 MHz bands. nd that at present they neither have the equipment nor handsets to support 3G services in IMT 2000 2 GHz band.

The regulator has also recommended that IMT 2000 (3G) services in 2 GHz band be made available to both CDMA and GSM operators.
It has said that an additional annual per MHz charge be levied on the operators using IMT-2000 2 GHz spectrum till the service provider rolls out 3G services. In case the service provider is unable to launch the services within two years from the date of allocation, the spectrum would be withdrawn.
It has also recommended an uniform spectrum allocation criteria for both CDMA and GSM players based on their subscriber base.
Trai has, however, not met CDMA players’ demand for additional spectrum on the US-PCS 1,900 MHz band since it could not be vacated by defence. However, CDMA operators would get additional carriers in the 800 MHz band.
Trai has recommended that existing users in the 900 MHz band should vacate the spectrum for GSM players to improve the coverage in semi-urban and rural areas.
Further, availability of at least 2x25 MHz spectrum in 1800 MHz band to GSM players is being coordinated by defence till end of 2006.

Indian is too young for WiBro

Korea is catching up with WiBro.. 10.5 Million subscribers by 2010...
Did I wrote WiBro.... ?? or is it WiMax....!!

Well friends its WiBro...or Wireless Broadband..

WiBro is developed by Koreans who are projecting it between developing 3G technologies and coming 4G technology. Bascilly focussed for people who are looking for internet acccess in public domain through their personal phone.

Offering a speed of 54Mbps ,this gives the user complete mobility for wireless access.
operating on 2.3 GHz ,it is keen on taking 3G technologies.

India ,though a growing market is still too young for it. With coming of WiMax ,data usage will definately move to wireless. and why not ,its easier to deploy and to maintain.

WiBro will take off if there is a demand for string data access.

SO lets wait n watch.....!!!!

2 days for a network revolution

TRAI has finally solved the dispute over spectrum allocation for 3G networks,,!!
the war over spectrum b/n GSM and CDMA will be decided by DoT and the winner will definately have lead..
Well! did I said winner..no we cant define it as winner...I think DoT will defanitely allocate some other bandwidth to CDMA or GSM carrier as per req
With available bw with defence,India should defn allocate some of it for growing Telecom market in India. This will not only boost the growth but also lead to revolution and migration of voice services to advanced data services.
Telecom is a very basic need for a country's growth. SO now its time India shld accelerate to catch up with china and expand its telecom infrastructure.
Lets see India competing with teledensity of leading nations of the world.
This 2 days are real crucial for India...!!
